So I’ve been playing with a set of fractals which incorporate trig and alternating functions for years, (see Fractal Madness) and decided to try altering a mandelbox with similar ideas. After learning GLSL and writing sin and cosine functions (that may or may not be correct or have any bearing on reality) which operate on triples of 1 real and two imaginary numbers, I ended up producing something that looks like an H.R. Geiger piece. Unfortunately the site crashed and I lost my parameters for the first one, but the others are interesting as well. Keep in mind these are based on mandelboxes and shouldn’t be spherical or display the odd levels of internal detail normally.
